Jyoti Gudka

Jyoti was born in Kenya. She has been practising Yoga for 18 years. Jyoti is a Sivananda Trained Yoga Teacher. This training took place in Kerala, South India. She took a further 2 years training in Yoga Therapy with Yoga Biomedical Trust at Great Ormond Street and was also one of their main therapists for over 3 years.

Jyoti has also specialised in pregnancy and childbirth with Dr. Francoise Freedman and works with Pregnancy Yoga, Partners Workshop in Pregnancy for easier childbirth, Postnatal Yoga, Baby Yoga, Baby Massage, Treatments for colic, reflux and stress and Children’s yoga.

Jyoti's approach is very intuitive and holistic. She uses sound and Vedic chants which helps brings mind, body and spirit together thus bringing peace and harmony to the whole being. Yoga has become a way of life for Jyoti and is further inspired by her spiritual Guruji, Chandra Swami Udasin. Over the years of her own Yogic practices and teaching she has developed her own unique style of teaching. Jyoti wishes to help as many people as possible. She was one of the main therapist at the Yoga Therapy Centre at Great Ormond Street, worked as a yoga therapist at the Charitable Ayurvedic Hospital of Great Britain for a year which was based at Chiswick, has worked for five disabled centres, is working for various health clubs such as The Laboratory Spa & Health Club (Hendon), Holmes Place (Cricklewood & Elstree), Esporta (Frient Barnet) and also runs her own Group Yoga Therapy Classes, Meditation & Deep Relaxation classes. Jyoti also works along with Shri Hanuman who is a great Yogi and a master of Nada (sound) Yoga and together they hold workshops and retreats on Sound & Yoga. On request she holds lectures and demonstrations on YOGA THERAPY & YOGA. She has a great passion for Indian classical music and when the opportunity arises organises classical music concerts. Jyoti was featured in The Harrow Observer in 2001, The Daily Mail, Channel 4 - Richard & Judy Show and Radio LBC in March 2002 working with Baby Yoga, BBC 1 News in Aug 2003, Zee Television - Aug 2003, BBC London News in Aug 2004 working with Pregnancy and BBC Asian Network Radio in Sept 2004. Jyoti has taken a keen interest in Charity work and at present is working very closely with "BEHT" a registered charity in the UK whose work is carried out in India for Education and Health projects.

Jyoti's voice and her great belief in the power of sound and the healing power of the Vedic Chants has drawn many to her for help at a holistic level. Many have felt healed through her guided Deep Relaxations using the Vedic Chants and her Spiritual guidance. Jyoti has also been invited on several occasions nationally and internationally for work in this field.
