Chantek Mary McNeilage
Listening to Mothers Following Childbirth. Chantek supports women who have had a distressing time giving birth and helps mothers to reflect on their birth experience. Mothers need to be able to share their experiences and to be listened to and heard with compassion and understanding. This level of safe, kind support and reflection enables us to integrate ourselves back within a healthy, loving family life. Women of all ages can carry painful memories of these birth experiences. It is never too late in life for us to ease and resolve these feelings. Birth Process Workshops. for adults, offer the opportunity for small groups of participants to explore, ease, transform and clarify early layers of physical and emotional birth experience. With support, understanding and compassion it is possible to open to healing and repair of the past thus securing a more settled perspective within our relationships to the world and to ourselves. This work arises from the intention/wish of the participant. The group forms a ‘womb surround’ enabling, with a deep level of support and safety, the possibility to re-experience difficult aspects of the birth story from a resourced place within ourselves. Chantek Mary McNeilage RCST, Cert. Prenatal & Birth Therapy, has worked and taught both adults and children in the complementary field for nearly thirty years. She studied Craniosacral Biodynamics at the Karuna Institute and Prenatal and Birth Therapy with Dr Ray Castellino. She has assisted the Castellino Prenatal & Birth Therapy Foundation Training in America. Her earlier background is in massage, bodywork and working with special needs children. She also integrates transpersonal development, movement and creative expression in her work. From a quiet, private practice she will work individually, with the family or in small groups. Chantek facilitates and co-facilitates birth process workshops in the UK, Europe and America. |
