Infant Aquatics
Water is a medium in which babies can stretch and experiment with the transition from reflexes to voluntary movement before they start sitting and crawling on the dry land.Most babies enjoy water before they have a chance to develop a fear of it. With skilled support, many babies can start swimming in their second year.
The Birthlight approach to Infant Aquatics, which integrates safety, fun, closeness and specially designed water skills for babies, has been internationally acclaimed at World Aquatic Baby Congress events (2202, 2004).
Water classes offer parents and babies a special quality time together in which the unique pace of development of each baby can be celebrated just as it unfolds.
